Moving Blogs and Changing Name

Unfortunately due to sticky financial circumstances I was unable to renew my yearly payment for my web hosting.  This has caused me to come up with a new email, business name etc.

So far a fresh new start I can now be found under the name of Dandelion Days - and for my most faithful followers who are happy to put up with my sporadic blogging and random ways I can now be found here
http://thosedandeliondays.blogspot.co.uk/

I will be quite chuffed to see any of you who have been kind enough to join me there :)

For those who opt not to follow - thank you so much for sticking with me and I wish you all the very, very best :)

Love and Kisses

29 years of marriage

29 years ago this lovely man became my husband, he wore a smart suit, skinny tie, and black suede zip up shoes (so trendy) and I wore lots of frills :)  We stood side-by-side full of happiness and anticipation not realising how pear-shaped our lives or I would become.
But we love each other more today than we ever did - and I just hope that one day a little bit of luck will land on our door-step and give us a feeling of security that we both so deserve.
Happy Anniversary my Darling Hubby! :)

Army v Navy at Twickenham

Me and my better-half had a fun day out on Saturday to watch the Army V Navy Rugby at Twickenham.  A brilliant day with huge crowds, beer tents, numerous foodie stands and seeing old friendly faces from our days when we both served in the Royal Signals in Germany in the Army.

it was an excellent game where we beat the Navy 48 - 9, sang along to Sweet Chariot

and the cloudy, drizzley day did not spoil the fun - or that of the five streakers in total..........

another birthday :)

Tomorrow will be my 51st Birthday - a day when you accept that you are definately in your 50's and to be honest it does not feel too bad.  Yes, I have quite a tum, the bread diet was tough and came to a juddering stop - due to my shameful lack of willpower.  The odd wrinkle on my face, 3 liver spots on my hands, and too many grey hairs to count, but I feel good and the fall into the crafting world has given me a huge lease of life.

To celebrate we will be travelling to Twickenham to watch the Army V Navy Rugby which I am so looking forward to, having both served in the Army in the days of Northern Ireland, the Falklands and when you could get postings to Singapore or Hong Kong.  We will be meeting up with some old faces (including our own) at the Royal Signals Association beer-tent and I am sure a good time will be had by all.

There will be no extravagent pressies as my poor hubby is in and out of work during this ever-lasting recession - but I will hold him close to my heart and we will keep smiling through - somehow when you are a little down on your uppers you do seem to laugh more :)

So Happy Birthday to me, on reflection I do have a lot to look forward to and god willing we may even get the odd day when we get to do our Happy Dance !

made for a friend :)

today I made this for a male friends birthday.  I had seen something similar and had been itching to have a go, and what better excuse than to make him this, which has places with strong meanings to him.

I often like to make something special for friends and family - mostly because I am hopeless at shopping and walk the streets with a budget in my head, often to come home either empty-handed or worse still with something that you are not sure they will like :(

Now I just have to wait for the black frame with a black mount to arrive and then can send it on its way - as always arriving a good week after his birthday.

Obviously I have also popped one in my etsy shop today!

Two more prints added to my etsy shop today:)

I have been a busy little bee today and have just added these two prints to my etsy shop today - have yo-yoed between dark and stark black and white onto lovely soft pastel colours.  Although both have hearts :)

I love how an idea nags and niggles at you, and the rush and concentration in bringing thoughts together - followed by the slightly flat moment you get whilst waiting for the next idea to pop into your unsuspecting head .

I'm a Bad, Bad Girl

I feel so bad that I have not bothered to keep up with my blog, and am ever so grateful that I still have some followers left :)

Our little shop within The Big Society Store on Hamlet Court Road has been open for 4 months now and has had reasonable success - although not enough to give up the day job :(

As well as running this I am slowly building up my etsy store and have added quite a few prints - and here is todays latest addition that I popped in today :)

it can be found here :)

And I promise to try my best to keep in touch more often !!
